We decided to release a Save The Date card exactly one year before our wedding. This is to ensure that our guests will be securing the date for us specially those who are living overseas. Basically, we formally announced to our close relatives and friends that we are getting married on November 17, 2017.
Layout Design: Papeldelights
Inclusion: Save The Date and Monogram design
Peso Power: P250
Rating: 5/5
Cath - owner of Papeldelights is very nice and accommodating. Her branding and design services are fairly cheap but quality is good. We only had one revision on the save the date layout. She got what we wanted to show in the card.
Everything was my fiance's idea. We drew something in a paper and passed it on to Papeldelights. I trusted her on what colors, font and how she can pull off everything we had in mind.
For the hardcopies, I bought 250gsm white and pale cream paper and my brother printed it in their office (LOL!).
Here's our Save The Date card.
Cheers!

Wedding Suppliers and To-Do Checklist
Okay...
so after the engagement from our trip, I started reading blogs and joining support
groups such as GirlTalk in FemaleNetwork and W@W so I can have a pretty much
clearer picture of what to do. Besides, I really wanted to be hands-on in this
preparation.
What I did first was to create a folder in Google Drive so I can save all the things that I need to remember and do. I also created an excel file (WWF) to primarily see the budget - our expected expense and real expense, the suppliers - who are booked, how much is the downpayment, how much is the balance, list of entourage, list of guests, etc.

I also created an excel file (WWF) to primarily see the budget - our expected expense and real expense, the suppliers - who are booked, how much is the downpayment, how much is the balance, list of entourage, list of guests, etc.
From
the past months of reading and reading and reading :D - I have learned A LOT. Aside
from the supplier’s reviews and feedback I got from GTalkers and WaWies, I had fun
talking to other past brides and brides-to-be. :D
One of the things I learnt is this:
I
initially thought that there are only a few wedding suppliers to be booked! It’s
like, book the church, venue, caterer, P/V – and that’s it! You’re gonna get
married. It's not as easy as I thought... As I read all the comments in my support
groups, I realized that it’s not only a dozen of suppliers and to-do list, but a looooooooooooooooot
more!
So
here is the checklist that I have compiled for the wedding preps:

I have to add some whenever there’s something new or the ones I forgot. It’s just

Wedding Proposal In Paris
My
fiancé - Carlo, proposed to me during our Europe Tour last April/May 2016.
After
the tour on top of the Eiffel Tower, we decided to take photos around Champ De
Mars. He asked for a photo together with the Eiffel Tower as a background, and
next thing I know, he brought out a small box from his pocket and popped the
question.
“Will
you marry me?” he asked.
I
answered, “Of course, yes!”
I
couldn’t help but cry because from the past years, we were just talking about
reaching our dreams and achieving our goals together... and now, this man asked
me if I want to spend the rest of my life with him!
